Feng Shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000 years ago in China. It is a complex body of knowledge that reveals how to balance the energies of any given space. Feng means wind and shui means water. In Chinese culture wind and water are associated with good health, thus good feng shui came to mean good fortune.

Feng Shui is based on the Taoist vision and understanding of nature, particularly on the idea that the land is alive and filled with Chi, or energy. The retention or dissipation of Chi is believed to affect the health, wealth, energy level, luck and many other aspects of the occupants of the space. Attributes of each item in a space affect the flow of Chi by slowing it down, redirecting it or accelerating it, which purportedly directly impacts the energy level of the occupants.

The ancient Chinese believed that the land's energy could either make or break the kingdom, so to speak. The theories of yin and yang, as well as the five feng shui elements, are some of the basic aspects of a feng shui analysis that come from Taoism.

Ever since the internet went worldwide in 1993, communication has just progressed by leaps and bounds. Following that, businesses of all sorts have decided to take the path of the information superhighway. After all, going online meant that you could reach people who were living halfway around the world just as easily as if they were next to you.

Everything being constantly in flux, even the application of Feng Shui principles has taken on a very contemporary appeal

By following feng shui guidelines and techniques, you can build and design a business website, or graphics just the way you could design a living space, an office and everything that is not only visually attractive but also attractive to wealth and prosperity. The elements that are part of a business website are somehow equivalent to the objects distributed through a working space since the website for example is the electronic version of the actual business’ offices. Therefore, the website design and the elements that will be in it should follow feng shui guidelines in order to be properly balanced.

Now can you imagine if you could actually manage to harness that universal energy into a channel that affects your personal life and your personal space?
